I wanted to share a quick heads-up for the whiskey enthusiasts on a shop that is doing things the right way. There is an amazing store in historic Cedarburg that any whiskey lover will enjoy. I stopped by Barrels On Bridge last week to sneak peak their FEW Spirits Barrel Pick BiB Reveal Saturday (March 21st). The FEW pick is excellent—rich caramel and dark cherry. At 48 tacos it’s a great value for a hand-selected barrel chosen by a group of local enthusiasts. That’s an insanely low price! Speaking of barrel picks, their December 2025 Green River "Barrels of Moonlight" is a 125-proof monster that every high-proof fan in this group needs to try before it’s gone…..I think they did 7 barrel picks last year, and they already have 5 more ordered or being finalized (so far) this year. The best part? Their hospitality. They have 300+ open bottles for sampling. You can really find what you like before you commit to a bottle. Also, they've simply been hiding allocated bottles amongst the shelves periodically and if you find one, you can buy it. Watch their Facebook posts for details. They even have a rewards club! If you're bringing the family, the downtown area has plenty of shops, great pizza places, and $4 movies at the Rivoli to keep everyone busy while you browse. Amy's Caramel Apples are literally as big as a Blanton's bottle! There's even a longtime family-owned custard place a block away. I grabbed some pics of the sample carts and the inside last night near closing to give a sense of the vibe. It's well worth a visit! Did I mention over 300+ open bottles to sample? PS I’m a Cedarburg resident x 7 years and Barrels on Bridge definitely adds to the village charm.
