We stopped off for a drink when we were visiting from Scotland, UK this February in the snow. The B&B leaflet says “arrive a guest, leave as a friend” and even for us who just stopped for a couple of drinks, that is how we felt. We were greeted with a smile, the atmosphere was brilliant and many of the locals were happy to chat to us. What a wonderful place, thank you for the welcome. Next time we will stay in their B&B, The Stagecoach Inn.

We had an hour to burn in between a wedding and reception. So we took a stroll around town and wondered into this place. They were just opening up and setting up for some live music that day. We ran into the owner and he assured us we could get a drink. As his lovely wife made us some cocktails, he gave us a personal tour of the place. Amazing inside and out. Great people! And my wife had a homemade (fresh) watermelon margarita that was amazing. Give these folks your business!

What an amazing little pub! Fantastic Manhattan’s!! No really, you must try one. If Jim is behind the bar, ask him to make it the “pressed-style” he likes to drink himself. It’s less sweet than a typical Manhattan, but still loaded with flavor. This pub really knows how to draw in a crowd. One of the owners, Bill, is excellent on the keyboard and has a slew of other musicians and artists on the docket to drop by for a jam fest. The range of music will please a crowd of any age. Get their early if you want to just chill with a drink in a quite space. Consider coloring in one of their adult coloring books for a truly relaxing experience. You can cozy up by the windows overlooking the street. They set out these special pretzels that are seasoned up in-house. I don’t know what they put on them, but they are addictive little buggers. They have games stacked up by the windows for a bit of entertainment. The owners of the Inn have friends popping in and out. It is clear they are popular for a reason. It is the spot to be! The bar is stocked with everything you could want. They have a variety of wine options and a few specialty cocktails that can’t be missed. They were making Bloody Mary’s with all the fixings for the 4th of July parade. They put out a spectacular food spread with boneless wings, sausage, cheese, etc for their patrons. The owners, Ann and Bill, are fantastic hosts! It is clear they love what they do. If you are feeling chatty, get to know them a bit. You will leave the pub with new friends worth knowing.
